University Institute of Technology, Mulamkadakam, Kollam, popularly know as UIT-Kollam has
come a long way since the inception in 1995. With the current strength of nearly 600 students inducted in
three of the UG courses and two PG courses, UIT Kollam have been contributing to a rich portfolio of
graduates and postgraduates including several rank holders in different streams. UIT Kollam as a name has
steadily become synonymous with excellence in MANAGEMENT, COMPUTER SCIENCE and
COMMERCE disciplines by establishing unwavering quality education under University of Kerala.
The motto "Quality Knowledge" has served as the driving concept of UIT Kollam, cultivating a
culture dedicated to transformative learning, leadership focusing on long-term impact. This instills in its
students a strong desire for value-added learning.
The college provides undergraduate programs in Management, Computer Science, and Commerce,
along with postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Commerce.

I was a Post Graduate student at UIT Kollam. If anyone asks me about my first impression on the college and then about the final impression, both would be very different, I'd say. My first impression, to be frank, didn't quite meet my expectations. I've done my UG from a major institution with extensive resources, and I unapologetically compared both. But studying here really proved me wrong and crossed my expectations. The facilities and classes they provided, were among the best I've got. Especially, I'm really thankful to the faculties, who turned out to be our best friends, the greatest support and an inspiration to look upon. They not only taught us the academics, but lead us in the best way possible. Even now, upon seeing a job opportunity, they show us the best possible option to choose. College fests and programmes were another which we enjoyed to our heart's content. Still a memory which I'd never forget. Academics, facilities, programmes, faculties, everything fits so well here. I'd recommend UIT, Kollam to anyone who's searching for a good institution as I'm really grateful for the amazing college life I got, and wish the same upon any of my juniors.
